I Love the "Garden Collage" Stamp Set

What a beautiful stamp set. It often gets hidden and then when it comes out-------  It makes such beautiful cards. Here is one that I made a couple of weeks ago. I stamped the images on white card stock, found the base already cut and the orange piece was in my scrap  box. I sponged Tea Dye distress ink around the images. The background seemed too bright so I used one of my background stamps from Impression Obsession with Memento Rich Cocoa ink. Wow! What a change. The small image is popped up with dimensionals and organza ribbon finishes the card.

Mojo Monday Challenge

This is my first time to get a card finished and uploaded on the Mojo Monday challenge. I have printed the different sketches off for several months now but never seemed to get a card finished. I did it today. This is a copy of the sketch.

I went to my box of scraps and pulled out several pieces that I thought might work together. When I found the the background paper, things started to come together. It was fun getting everything to work together. For the card base I used SU Pink Pirouette. I found the die cut circle in my scrap box as well and I thought of the SU stamp set "Of the Earth". The image fit perfectly. I colored it with SU markers--Old Olive, Pretty in Pink, Rose Red, So Saffron, and black. I love how easy this stamp is to color and how beautiful it turns out.

Halloween

Halloween is not one of my favorite holidays, but I always try to send the grandkids a card with a treat inside. I try to create cards that have a fun theme to them. These are the cards that I made this year. Each card had a small envelope inside with a treat (a few dollars that they can use as they want). Two grandkids live 200 miles away and three live 300 miles away. Grandpa wanted to help so he came up with a "joke" for each card.

1. Why do spiders like computers?

 2. Why don’t witches wear a flat hat?

3. How fast can Ebony fly on his broom?
(Ebony is the name of our long-haired dachshund.)

4. What is the favorite dessert of these
Jack O’ Lanterns?
The answers--
1. They can use them to get on the Web!
2. Because there would be no point to it.
3. At the speed of hound!
4.  Boo-Berry Pie!

November Is Here

It seems that October was lost for me. After having surgery for a basal cell skin cancer on my nose on August 15 and again on September 11, my creativity left me. For a month I could not wear my glasses which I found very frustrating. I will probably have at least one more surgery to complete the reconstruction on the side of my nose. My next Dr's appointment is November 30.

This morning, I needed a get well card for a friend at church. Here is the card I created and then I saw the challenge at Joan's Garden. I would like to share my card with you. The snowman is a stamp I got a few years ago and always have fun using it when I get it out. The background was created using the SU set--Lovely As A Tree.
